Horizon Pass Lodge at Bachelor Gulch

Beaver Creek, Colorado

Set atop a prominent saddle on the highest lodge site in Bachelor Gulch, this log and shingle structure draws inspiration from two National Park Style buildings: Timberline Lodge and the Old Faithful Inn. Positioned directly over the arrival lobby, an iconic octagonal tower, rising to a height of 100 feet is the centerpiece of the project.

The 31 ski-in/ski-out luxury residences were carefully designed to fit within the dominant roof form.  Projecting covered living room balconies face east to capture views of the Gore Range and stacked gable and shed dormers on the west façade provide down valley views and visual interest.
