House in Greenwood Village
Greenwood Village, Colorado
This 6,500 square foot contemporary farmhouse residence is conceived with a reverence for classical planning, where symmetry, axial clarity, and spatial hierarchy guide the experience of place. The plan unfolds along a central longitudinal axis, beginning at the covered entry gate and extending through the front entrance foyer of the home toward a framed view of the covered outdoor fireplace. This axis serves not only as a spatial organizer but as a narrative thread, inviting movement, discovery, and reflection.
Flanking this central spine are balanced wings that house private and service functions. The kitchen, family room, garages and utility spaces anchor one end, while the primary bedroom retreat, guest bedroom and fitness occupy the other. The great room – the heart of the home - rises in volume, its vaulted ceiling articulated by two timber flat trusses that span the room and define the bar and dining alcoves below.
